Double wall insulated shutters
Closed tyoe rolling shutters with double wall and insulation are suitable for shops, garages, warehouses, industries and generally constructions with high demands. Rolling shutters of this type are made from profiles of hot deep galvanized steel sheets or aluminum. Due to the double wall, they are suitable for buildings with higher requirements of rigidity and durability. Available in several versions they can cover a wide variety of requirements relating to safety,size and architecture.
Rolling shutters can be operated manually or electrically according to the weight and frequency of use. The access control and operation of electrical rolling shutters can be done with various methods such as up-down button station, RF transmitters etc. The bottom slat of rolling shutter that contacts the ground is reinforced for increased rigidity and incorporates special PVC rubber for insulation enhancement. The manually operated rolling shutters are equipped with lateral or central locks (is optional at electrical operation).
Rolling shutters are available in most colors of RAL spectrum and are painted with polyester powder coating for corrosion resistance. For protection against water and dust but also for aesthetic reasons, all shutters can be equipped with shutter box to house the coil. Shutter box is made of hot dip galvanized steel sheet painted to match the color of the rolling shutter. The curtain of rolling shutter is restrained by and “runs” in appropriate guide channels from hot dip galvanized steel sheet, which incorporate special PVC rubbers with brush to minimize air penetration and reduce noise during operation.
Profiles of closed type rolling shutters can have flat or curved cross section and the choice depends on the aesthetic effect and the level of resistance desired.
In general, curved cross section profiles offers greater strength and durability, but with a higher cost.
The L105-2 profile is made of hot dip galvanized steel sheets thickness up to 1.5mm. It offers exceptionally high durability and rigidity. It is ideal profile for rolling shutters used in large openings and exerted to them high wind loads. There is an option of incorporating polyurethane between the two walls in order to achieve thermal and sound insulation.
The L2in and A2in profiles are made of hot dip galvanized steel sheets and aluminum sheets respectively, curved cross section thickness 0.4mm. Specially designed profile with horizontal ribs, achieves high levels of durability. It is available with standard high-density polyurethane insulation thereby improving thermal and sound insulation needs and also the rigidity of the structure.
The A100 profile is made of extruded double wall aluminum flat cross section thickness 1.5mm. It offers high durability and rigidity with low weight construction. It is ideal profile for rolling shutters used in medium and large openings with high demands for durability and safety. There is an option of incorporating polyurethane between the two walls in order to achieve thermal and sound insulation.
Aluminum profile extrusion thickness 0,8mm (each wall). Suitable for large openings.
Provides high strength and security with a relatively small weight.
